Are you happy with your highlights?

Postby mamaclapham » Thu Nov 15, 2012 1:45 pm

if you are, please share your secret with me!
I tried a mobile hairdresser suggested on NVN and it didn't work out.
I went to a 'big one' on Webb's road and their standards weren't really great.
Please help me have amazing hair ;)

I agree with Lucy - I used recently for my hair cut and friend has used for highlights and cut this year - and was pleased - having found him when looking for reasonable priced blow dries. He is no frills but very nice and the price reflects this. He even has a loyalty card -

I have started going to Edward James on Northcote Road. Best highlights I have had and they have lasted.

Also they do an amazing head massage as part of the routine. Bliss.

I used to go to luca but i have to say i've found someone much better - Jess at Headsouth on northcote road - she is just lovely and a similar price to luca and a nicer experience. x

I have tried numerous hairdressers in SW11 and after a year of overpriced, bad blonde highlights - I decided to travel back to my usual hairdresser in Covent Garden.
Her name is Maja and salon is called ROSE & Crown, google it. You have to book appointment 2-3 weeks in advance, she is very busy...

Idiotically deleted yesterday's post with this tweet, but surely the best value highlights in south London? Two colours, 10 foils, £20 at www.hairsalonstreatham.co.uk (and the owner's a former L'Oreal Colour Trophy national finalist so no worries about quality either).

Thanks.

I also had half and head of highlights done by Melissa last week and I love them. I highly recommend her and she is so reasonable. I too am a bit dubious about mobile hairdressers but am so glad that I have found Melissa. I will be recommending her to all my friends, especially the ones with children as she is a Mum herself and therefore very accommodating with babies/children. A great find!
