Hi
I am recommending us - because everyone tells us that our courses are excellent. Safe and Sound has been running paediatric first aid courses for over 10 years both in your home and in our venue on Saturdays directly opposite Euston Station.
Our trainers are all paramedics or nurses with extensive experience of accident and emergency medicine.

Hi Mum2000,

My name is Sophie, and I am a trainee doctor at St. George's, a registered Dive Medic and a registered Instructor of Infant, Child and Adult First aid and Critical Life Support. I'm also a family Consultant (sleep training, weaning, behavioural issues etc.) with over 15 years experience as a nanny and Family 'Troubleshooter'.
I'm currently starting up an outreach programme to teach life saving skills and general first aid to parents, child-care workers and playgroup leaders. These sessions use the Emergency First Response training curriculum and are taught using hospital training equipment, so are of first class grade and teaching quality. The course is designed to help you gain confidence in dealing with or avoiding common childhood accidents and illnesses. It involves CPR, 'choking' and minor trauma (small burns, sprains, assessment for serious illness) training on life-size dummies and teaches you the 'Red Flags' to look for in each age group and how to deal with emergencies.
The sessions can be taught one-on-one, in your home or mine, in a playgroup or classroom setting and at your leisure. My main aim is to get the knowledge out there and at the most cost-friendly price possible, whilst I research possible funding sources to make the programme more widely available.
If you would like to discuss learning Paediatric First aid, please feel free to drop me a text on 07787993156. I am currently on ward until the early evening but will always respond asap.
Many thanks, and good luck in finding the perfect course for you and your family.
Sophie.
