Looking for recommendations of a small local architectural/design practice

Postby MonkeyTeddy » Tue Aug 15, 2023 3:32 pm

Hello everyone
We're looking for help with a relatively small refurbishment job in our flat: to knock through from our sitting room into the adjacent bedroom/study. We need some guidance on whether we can do it structurally/practically, and how to make it look fab etc.
Any recommendations, please?
We'd really like to work with - and support - a small local architectural/design practice rather than one of the big (and expensive) companies.
Many thanks!

I can't recommend Rebecca Connolly highly enough! https://www.rebecca-connolly.com/projects

She used to work for the big architectural firms, but struck out on her own a few years ago. She's an interior architect, who will suss out the mechanics of what you're trying to do, project-manage the whole process for you, and then interior-design to make it all look pretty/stylish/whatever your preferred look, at the end. She did my whole house a few years back, but she does smaller projects too.

Good luck with your project!

Hello and thanks so much to everyone who replied. But I have only just seen your replies! I didn't get any notifications and when I looked after a few days, there were no replies so I just assumed nobody had replied. I'm so sorry not to have thanked you at the time and wish I had seen your kind help!
