Bellevue Law is pleased to announce its impressive results from its recent Law Firm Maturity Index (LFMI) benchmarking. The firm was deemed a highly mature and responsible employer, gaining Band A level, indicating higher value realisation, reduced business risk and greater stability than the average score of competitor firms which fell within Band B.
The Law Firm Maturity Index (LFMI) is a law firm benchmarking index. Launched by LexSolutions, the performance indicator, powered by the reputable rating system OMINDEX, uses employee feedback to demonstrate how effective and therefore mature a law firm is at delivering quality service, leadership, business values, commitment to ESG and stakeholder satisfaction and wellbeing.
Manu Kanwar, founder of LFMI, says:
“Bellevue’s exceptional maturity level of 160/180 is one that the firm strives to maintain, as this reflects its commendable commitment to its employees. The results also indicate approaches to key legal sector themes like burnout and diversity & inclusion.
“As other firms adopt these insights, we can start a systemic shift towards a holistically healthier, more purposeful and value-driven future in legal. With 16 firms now in our data set at the LFMI, this is truly an emerging legal benchmark that we hope will become widely recognised.”
Florence Brocklesby, founder of Bellevue Law explains:
“It’s such great news to score so highly in the Law Firm Maturity Index. Setting up a business is hard, but it’s definitely worthwhile when you get to read all the positives that came out of the benchmarking.
“This score demonstrates that Bellevue has a proven track record for scoring highly in all core elements of the Law Firm Maturity Index. Our firm surpassed the average scores for learning and adaptability, purpose, human value, values and principles, strategic cohesions and improvement, culture, trust and collaboration, engagement and well-being and learning and adaptability.
“In short, we perform strongly in the areas that are important to clients: collaboration, innovation, and quality of service.”
The index takes into consideration firm health indicators, ESG and sustainability practices, where Bellevue boasts a score of 46/50 indicating its excellence in adaptability to society, value motive, value creation for stakeholders, environmental and social impact, and purpose.
Florence continues:
“We’re not complacent on the ESG front and have just submitted our BCorp application with an intent to become BCorp accredited as soon as possible. It makes good business sense for us, our people, our clients and our broader community."
