Could anyone please recommend someone to narrow and re-hang a haevy pair of curtains?  Thanks in advance.

Hiya, not sure if you found anyone to do this? I’m a local curtain and blind maker. I could help you with this, however only have availability as of march. Here’s my details if you need me.

Thanks

Re-hanging curtains can be a bit of a hassle, but it’s so satisfying once it’s done right! It gives you plenty of length for more expansive windows or when you’re using curtains that need a bit of overlap.  If your current rod isn’t sturdy enough or doesn’t fit the space well, you might want to go for a 100 inch curtain rod. Just make sure it’s a strong one, especially if your curtains are on the heavier side.
When putting it back up, check if the brackets are secure and spaced evenly. I’ve found that using a level helps a ton—nothing’s worse than crooked curtains after all the work. If your curtains are hard to slide, grab some curtain rings or hooks to make them move smoothly.
