My LO hates sand! Is this Normal?

We recently got back from a lovely week away in Dubai - it was the first time we'd taken our 18 month year old away and it soon became apparent that she hates sand! And grass also wasn't particularly popular. She just refused to walk/sit/touch it!! I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, please tell me she'll grow out of it!

My kids are the same, so I hope it is normal. Just think of how many places you can holiday now a beach isn't an essential !

Good point StacksNorthants! Also, it was like having a newborn again as she didn't move from the sun lounger!!! ;)

My son was the same last year, freaked out at grass and sand, we did 'grass practice' most days and now he loves both!

Love that - 'grass practice'! When hubby gets home later and asks, what did we do today...? Will say grass practice! Brilliant :)
