Professional photographer

Postby DinosMom » Thu Apr 11, 2013 2:14 pm

Hi,
Does anyone have a referral for a good family photographer? We have never done professional photos for our children (i regret not doing newborn photos) and my daughter is turning 2 in July and my son turning 6 a few days later. Would love some good quality images of them together. Obviously someone experienced with children with a studio or great ideas for out door shots. We live in Twickenham so someone local-ish would be great.
Thanks,Deborah

I see she advertises on this site - but I've also heard fabulous things about Desi Fontaine. Think she's based in Teddington. This is her website: www.desifontaine.co.uk

I haven't used Desi (yet) but I've met her and she's really lovely - will be great at putting everyone at ease.

Try Howard Halsall. http://www.headshotphotos.co.uk/

Regularly gets fabulous shots at nursery, and can work on location too. He's always taken excellent pics of our girls!

A really great photographer is Nicky Adams, she is based in St Margarets, has her own studio there, but loves doing work outdoors too.

I too would recommend Desi Fontaine - she tooks some pics for me through the Cherubs scheme (£25 for 3 studio sessions for my newborn!) and the first shots were really lovely. I am due to book the second sitting in the next week or so.

Desi is a great photographer and really put me and my little one at ease.

Hi Deborah

I am a London based photographer, and will come to your home which makes the session a lot more relaxing for you and your family. Or if the weather is nice a park is always a great choice. My style is fun and relaxed, and I work with the mood of your children, so no forced smiles!!! If they don't want to pose then I will just capture them playing from a distance. My photos are therefore very engaging and natural.

Please take a look at my website http://www.shutterbaby.co.uk for examples of my work and previous client testimonials.

Thanks!

We used Desi Fontaine for some pregnancy pics and I wasn't all that impressed. They were nice but overly posed and expensive. I would recommend www.louiserosephotography.com

Louise was really lovely and her photos were great.
