Engaging childcarer needed for fun activities with 3 yr old

Postby newtobalham » Mon Jul 21, 2014 7:37 pm

I have posted this job in 'Situations Vacant' but am also posting here as it would suit a nanny/babysitter who has an interest in child development.

We are looking for someone to help us implement an occupational therapy home programme for our 3 year old son who has been diagnosed with dyspraxic symptoms.

We would like to find someone who lives locally to us (we are in Clapham South/Balham area) who can commit to 1 hour per day, 4 or 5 days a week (flexible on time of day) to carry out some exercises/games with our son. We are looking for someone who has a great connection with children and can make these activities really fun for our son - this is the most important thing for us. You will need to have demonstrable experience working with or caring for children with checkable references and up to date CRB or willing to undergo one.

This role would be perfect for any OT or physio students who are looking to gain practical experience and hopefully help make a real difference to our son's life. But we would also consider applications from nannies/au pairs/other childcarers with an interest in child development and doing fun activities with children.

Pay would be between £10-13 per hour dependant on experience. We are looking for someone who can commit at least 6 months so that you have a chance to build up a rapport with our son.

If you are interested, please pm me a short message summarising your experience.
