Good morning all,
The Northcote Business Network are pleased to announce the dates for the 2018 Christmas lights switch on and winter market. Traditionally held on the last weekend of November, and kicking off the festive season, the event has become a regular diary date for many in this area of southwest London. This year will follow much the same theme as last year, with the lights switch on taking place on Friday 23rd November and the Christmas market on Sunday 25th November.
Friday 23rd November - Christmas lights switch on
Last year’s switch on was accompanied by carol singers, reindeer at Rampton Baseley, funfair rides, Santa’s grotto at Hamptons, fire engines and a mini performance by the Battersea Arts Centre. This year we will offer these and more, and businesses are encouraged to stay open until 8pm and take part in whatever way possible.
Sunday 25th November - Pop-up Christmas market
We will be arranging for parking bays along the length of Northcote Road to be suspended, and approximately 70 visiting traders will take part in a festive shopping day. Many of the regular shops along Northcote Road make special offers on the day and also help to provide some further festive cheer. Last year we had mulled wine, hot chocolate, cooking demos, a hog roast, street entertainment and various other activities.
If you are interested in taking a stall for the Christmas market you need to get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible - spaces are limited to 75 and we have had an unusually high amount of interest this year with over 50 stalls allocated so far. Stall applications need to be made by Friday 19th October.
Have a great Friday and enjoy the weekend!!
