Dulwich College bursts with colour for the Junior School Symposium

Last Updated on : 13th May 2022

April saw the Junior School at Dulwich College burst with colour as pupils enjoyed the annual Junior School Symposium once more. This year the theme was ‘Colour’ and what a plethora of activities and workshops were on offer.

Joined by pupils from both James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) and Dulwich Wood Primary School, pupils enjoyed workshops which included: Music by Colour, The Science of Pointillism, Sensational Samba, Rainbow Fizz, and Achilles’ Hair & Athena’s Eyes. It was a delight to see pupils from all three schools work collaboratively and enthusiastically as they explored ‘Colour’ through a range of perspectives – creatively, scientifically, culturally, historically and even through psychology.

One of the highlights of the day had to be the incredible ‘Real Science or Just Bangs?’ show from pyrotechnician, Matthew Tosh. There were gasps of delight as Matthew set off (controlled) explosives in The Great Hall at Dulwich College!

Following on from the success of this day, pupils are already looking forward to next year’s Symposium!
