Falcons School for Girls and Peregrines Nursery School is celebrating exceptional success in its recent inspection, with a key focus on educational quality.
The Putney-based school has been highly-praised by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), and awarded with the highest status of ‘Excellent’ for both the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements, and the quality of the pupils’ personal development.
As the inspectors commended the school with the much-coveted accolade, they recognised that “pupils are highly proficient communicators for their age”, they “display exceptional attitudes towards learning.” The inspectors also noted that pupils “demonstrate strong knowledge skills and understanding across the areas of learning”.
While commenting on the personal development of the pupils, the report highlighted that, “pupils display outstanding levels of self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience”, “they demonstrate an exemplary moral compass” and are “extremely respectful of others and embrace their differences”.
Headmistress, Mrs Sara Williams-Ryan commented: “We are delighted with the wealth of positive outcomes from this inspection, which is a fitting testament to the hard work and dedication from both our staff members and pupils. I am exceptionally proud of them for their collaborative efforts.
“At Falcons School for Girls we encourage pupils to be academically ambitious and take responsibility for their behaviour and their learning from the moment they join us, and we are pleased that their achievements and development has been recognised and commended with such positive comments.”
Falcons School for Girls, incorporating co-educational Peregrines Nursery, is a non-selective school enjoying a convenient location within the leafy conservation area of Woodborough Road, Putney. It is a small, family school; the children are confident, cheerful and motivated, the staff knowledgeable, kind and creative, with high expectations.
From the moment pupils join the school, they are encouraged to be academically ambitious, take responsibility for their behaviour and learning and be curious, positive and resilient, qualities that will accompany them through life if they are embedded at a young age.
Reaching far beyond the national curriculum, the school strives to strengthen and enhance the pupils’ learning pathways through carefully planned lessons and activities, supported by a rich co-curricular programme. The school has very clear academic goals, proven by an outstanding history of 11+ results.
