Family festivals, comedy festivals and summer holiday fun: Your What’s On guide from NappyValleyNet

Last Updated on : 16th July 2015

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

Welcome to your weekly What’s On guide from NappyValleyNet!

So, the week we’ve all been waiting for has arrived.  Most schools break up by tomorrow, so bring on long, lazy, calm, relaxed summer days with wafting skirts and long grasses.  Stop!  Rewind the Timotei ad.  I can hear the collective “Yeah, right” from here!  How is that summer idyll possible when, if you’re not away on holiday, you’re here juggling work, play, family, any number of children of various ages, mass catering, repeat picnicking, so on and so forth. You can do it because you’re a high-energy, multi-tasking, SuperMum/Dad and NappyValleyNetter!  And if you aren’t, can’t or just too plain worn out, then movies galore and early to bed (for you and them!).  Jesting aside, to maintain some kind of order and equilibrium on these not-so-lazy summer days, use our calendar as your ‘right hand man’ to give you inspiration for fun-filled and (sometimes) relaxing times with the children. On the look out for some new bricks and mortar?  Then start your search on our property pages, which we bring to you complete with a long list of local primary schools, so you can look for your new home using the usual search criteria plus the rather handy one of school catchment areas.  The houses you’re looking at will include the distance in metres from the local school you’re most interested in.
