For kitchen inspo – Roundhouse shares details of their recent Clapham project

Last Updated on : 22nd March 2022

As Spring arrives, luxury kitchen brand Roundhouse has shared their thoughts & pics on the latest trend to emerge in kitchen design – metallics.

Metallics patinated, burnished or using real sheets of metal to create a wrap effect can be used on an island or other bespoke kitchen cabinetry to stunning effect.  Here’s how:

Metal Wrap

Our metal wraps are made from sheets of natural metal and include Copper and Brass in Matt Sanded and Antique finishes, and Steel in a Blackened finish. The Matt sanded finishes are made from metal which have been sanded and polished. These finishes will oxidise and acquire a beautiful patinated effect as they age. View our recent project.

Patinated Metals

These are real liquid metals; we use different metal powders to achieve these unique alloys in bronze, silver or copper. Acid wash is carefully applied by our experienced craftsmen our factory in Malvern which gives each piece a totally unique finish in creating a beautiful bespoke kitchen. The range comes in a wide range of finishes including, high gloss, polished patinated metals, burnished metallics and a hammered effect for an even more textured look. View our recent project

Clapham Project

One of our latest bespoke kitchen projects demonstrates the versatile use of metallics in the kitchen. The copper accents are the wow factor of this Metro and Classic kitchen bringing a stunning flare and personal touch to the space. The clients had a great eye for detail, and a real love for bold colours and delicate details. It was important to create an open, light and bright space. We achieved this by designing a floating single shelf above the range cooker and using a copper mirror to reflect the light around the room. The materials used in the bespoke kitchen were all designed fit for a busy family home, with durable composite stone worktops and floor tiling around the island.

Roundhouse is recognised for innovative bespoke kitchen designs and original finishes.  The Clapham project was designed by Liane Burrett at the Nightingale Studio.

Local showrooms include Nightingale Lane, Fulham and Richmond.  To book your design consultation, either in person or through Zoom, please visit our new website.
