Future-proofing your bespoke kitchen

Last Updated on : 22nd December 2021

As we start a new year, luxury kitchen brand Roundhouse have shared their thoughts on future proofing your bespoke kitchen so it stands the test of time.

Many of us want a multi-generational, open-plan kitchen and living space to continue to work well for many years. We want enough kitchen storage to keep a beautiful kitchen clutter-free, a social area for eating and entertaining – somewhere for people to be together – and of course a place for prepping and cooking. So how do you bring in all these elements and future-proof your Roundhouse kitchen?

We create luxury kitchens that are innovative and functional, with furniture that has a timeless elegance. One of our latest bespoke kitchen projects demonstrates a kitchen design built to last and stand the test of time. The focal point for this design was the view out to the garden, reflected in the colour palette. Steel beams were concealed within bespoke cabinets and the sink wall was brought forward to achieve a cleaner kitchen design. Often, breakfast bars face inwards towards the cook, here the seating area was purposefully designed to sit side by side to be more social and enjoy the natural daylight and garden views.
