11+ ONLINE VERBAL REASONING COURSE

A deep-dive revision course which will ensure that your child feels confident in their ability to recognise and tackle a variety of question types. The focus will be on exam technique and working systematically and quickly.

The course is suitable for Year 5 and 6 pupils applying for the competitive London Independent and Grammar schools with essential and stretch level content.

OVERVIEW: -

Our course is designed to answer all Verbal Reasoning questions from a selection of syllabuses at 11+ and 13+ and will include: -

Word meanings. We will discover the odd one out, the closest meaning to a word, fill in the blanks, connections and opposites. We will provide a vocabulary list too and teach them semantic fields which can help to discover odd ones out in a group of words.

Making words. We will help to insert letters, find hidden words, move a letter and make a word. This can be particularly tricky for many pupils as quite often the words are ones which they are not familiar with.

Codes. This includes words and numbers and how to work out a series. We will show you step by step how to approach these codes such as working out the word from a code or working the code out from a group of numbers already given.

Mathematics. We will help students to work out letters for numbers, complete the sum and relating numbers.  

Reading and Revision. Each pupil will be given a digital pack to download and print. We will mark and provide feedback for each individual student.

There will be a maximum of 6 students who will be grouped based on target schools.
