Established in 1923, it is part of the Oak-Tree Group of Schools, which is family-owned. The school is managed by a member of the family who oversees administrative arrangements for all three schools in the group. Since the last inspection in March 2009, the school has appointed a new head and a new head of the junior school, enhancing its leadership structure.
