However, the school has creatively repurposed at least one spacious classroom into a discovery den with weekly themes for extended learning. The secure Early Years outdoor classroom, featuring a playhouse and woodland walk, is a highlight, though the prep section would benefit from similar resources.

The prep building houses Years 1 and 2 on the ground floor, with classrooms opening directly onto the playground. The form rooms are spacious and adorned with examples of written and project work. The first floor, home to Years 3 and 4, features split classes for English and Maths to provide more individualised teaching, aimed at building confidence. The school’s approach to learning is hands-on and engaging, with a strong emphasis on practical work, particularly in the well-equipped science lab.

Language learning is robust, with pupils studying French, Spanish, and Latin, and the option to join German and Mandarin clubs. The school has received accolades for its language programmes, including two gold medals in the Junior Language Challenge. ICT facilities are plentiful, with two suites and individual iPads and laptops for older pupils.
