Established in 1935 as a preparatory school for boys, it transitioned to a co-educational model in 1982 and has since expanded its offerings, including a pre-preparatory department opened in 1993. The school became part of the Cothill Educational Trust in 2007, which provides shared administrative support across its member schools.
