Schools out for everyone this week, hurrah! And whilst there is still a little bit of uncertainty around foreign travel and some summer activities, things are looking up! Many have mastered Covid19 safety measures and are gradually opening up so we are certainly not confined to our lockdown homes this summer, unless we want to be of course then there’s still lots on to do virtually too (read more).

Little Voices Summer Camps have limited spaces left for their summer camps performing Frozen 2 and The Descendants in Fulham and Richmond (read more).

Playball are running holiday classes aimed at younger children (2-4 years) with two options, a 45 minute or a 1.5 hour session of their regular Playball format with added holiday fun (read more).

For culture vultures: galleries re-opening…

From the Tate Britain to the Serpentine, London’s galleries are slowly but surely opening up taking Covid-19 safety measures such as compulsory gloves and masks, with major exhibitions extended but if you are still not comfortable, you can continue to visit virtually (read more).

The Horniman museum reopens on 30 July. The gardens have been open throughout lockdown, but now we can actually go inside taking socially distanced measures of course. The museum will offer an extended run of the Permian Monsters exhibition (till 3 January 2021), alongside the popular galleries of natural history, world cultures and musical instruments. The main café will reopen at the same time, and additional facilities such as toilets will open too! (read more:


For the mind and body: fitness and wellbeing…

Mentor has just released August dates for its popular ‘Back to School’ 11+ Courses helping Year 5s consolidate the 11+ fundamentals and further develop the higher level skills required to tackle the harder aspects of the syllabus (read more).

Just three places left for Confident Revision’s verbal and non-verbal reasoning online revision course aimed at Year 5 pupils sitting the Wandsworth Test and other entrance exams next term (read more).
