Husband wants to play soccer every Saturday, unfair? Common dog killer owner named and fined £250. Neighbours claiming trespass.

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

We’ve just come back from a holiday with Mark Warner to Greece.

In a bid to teach the children some financial responsibility we let them “sign” for drinks at the bar, on the strict instructions they could only have three soft drinks a day, plus as much water as they wanted.

Mr NVN kept a close eye on proceedings for the first few days and then relaxed his monitoring, believing they’d proved they could be trusted.

As we checked out the receptionist proudly presented us with a bill that was seventeen pages long.

They may have only been buying themselves three softies a day, but they’d also been buying “rounds” for almost every other child in the resort. Lakitira must have resembled the bar scene in Bugsy Malone for most of the fortnight we were there.

Mr NVN went pink under his sunburn and sat the children down for a lecture.

“Do you know we are the only family to have ever had a bill that’s stretched over seventeen pages,” he told the solemn children.

There was silence.

“Come on kids, what does that tell you about your behaviour?”

There was more silence and then my youngest piped up, “have we won a prize?”
