So that’s it. For some of you school’s out, others may have another week. Whichever way you look at it, the Big Day is nigh. This time in two weeks we’ll be eating leftovers and surgically attached to the sofa and the Quality Street. Quite lucky then that Christmas comes but once a year…If you need a hand working out what to do next, check into our calendar from time to time. Room on the Broom Live on Stage has swooped into the West End for Christmas and is a real treat for any Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler fans. See all those lovely characters and friends come up off the well-thumbed pages and brought to life in front of their wide eyes (read more).

Bach to Baby comes to Balham tomorrow with their Winter Rhapsody offering a magical midwinter moment with a pair of pianists conjuring up Sugar Plum Fairies and a sleigh ride with a twist from Liszt (read more).

It’s the North End Road Festive Market in Fulham on Saturday, when it’ll be closed to traffic from Dawes Road to Lillie Road for all things Christmas to take over. Perfect family festive fun (and shopping!) (read more).

Or head to Wandsworth Town library on Saturday for a free Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Workshop. Find the golden ticket and have a whole lot of fun bringing singing and drama to your favourite Roald Dahl story! (read more)

There’s a Toddler’s Carol Service at St Mark’s on Battersea Rise on Sunday – informal, short and geared to the under 5s (read more).

And the Home-Start Wandsworth Carol Service is on at St Anne’s Church in Wandsworth next week with readings from celebrities as well as mulled wine and mince pies (read more).

Who can resist an Aladdin Singalong?! It’s on at Archer Street in Clapham where the entire team are professional West End performers. Go meet the Legend of the Lamp! (read more)

Christmas holiday clubs

If revision is on their Christmas list, Exceptional Academics is running an 11+ Booster Course at Belleville Primary starting this weekend and running after school next week too (read more) And in early January, there’s an 11+ Mock Exam(read more).

And Yellowbird Education is holding 7+, 8+ and 11+ Mock Exams in Parsons Green (read more).

Open Air Fit is running its Kids Camps on Wandsworth Common. Great fun in the great outdoors (read more).

Role Model’s Creative Problem Solving Course is on at Finton House School for 8 to 11 year olds (read more).

And the Role Model’s Leadership Course is on too, teaching children how to support, encourage and motivate others (read more).

The Upbeat Christmas Course will have them rocking out in Fulham – eat your heart out, Jack Black! (read more)

The Avenue Cookery School has a Young Holiday Class for 8 to 16 year olds, the chance to create something fun and delicious (read more) and there’s a Fun Cupcake Decorating Class too – love this panda! (read more)

And there are auditions next week for those aged 10 and over to be part of a new Thursday Theatre Club at Tara Arts – they’d love to find all the talent in south-west London! (read more)
