“How does David Attenborough know the lion’s names?
It was Sunday evening and we were all watching the latest “Dynasties” episode.
On screen, a lion called Yaya was having quite a tough time from a bunch of aggressive males.
My youngest was enthralled.
“I mean how does David Attenborough KNOW their actual names?” she said, shaking her head in disbelief.
“Errrr you realise that’s not an actual, real, lion-name?” I said, “they probably don’t even have names, that’s something humans invented.”
“Don’t be stupid,” she replied, “she’s called Yaya, all the lions know her and David Attenborough is filming her but I want to know how HE knows because, to be honest, I would have thought that was impossible to find out.”
I’m not even sure where to begin.
