Petition against removal of guard rail on Clapham road crossing.

Last Updated on : 15th September 2013

We, the undersigned, understand that a plan is in place to remove the pedestrian guard rail from the crossing from Clapham Common Westside (just beyond the junction with Grandison Road) onto Clapham Common.

We understand the removal is planned for the end of this month (September).

We believe that as this crossing is heavily used by children on a daily basis (for the school run and for use of the common/park) and the speed with which cars use the A205 then this planned change will increase the risk of death/serious injury to pedestrians using the crossing.

Please reconsider this decision.

Thank you.
