Dear South West London Mum,Happy Mothers Day School hit and run

Happy Mother’s Day for yesterday!

I don’t think there is a nicer way to be woken up than by a bundle of kids bearing cards and chocolate.

As I opened my cards, the one from my daughter was slightly “off-topic” with a picture of an irritatingly cute puppy on the front.

“Ahhhh that’s nice” I said “did you choose this because you’re still missing Patches?”

For those of you that don’t know, Patches is her recently deceased hamster.

“Yes” she said “but don’t worry about that, today is for mummys.

”At that point an alarm bell should have been ringing but it was early, my defences were down.I turned to the message inside, it simply read…

“Happy Mother’s Day. Can we buy this dog?”
