I'm of the same opinion, very tacky. I only recently became aware of them when researching photographers for a natural shoot with our son. I was really turned off when I saw the cake smash trend.

I'd never heard of this before, so Googled. Sorry, I think the images are tacky and a horrible waste of food!

Just out of curiosity, what are people's general thoughts on Cake Smash Photo shoots? Do you like them? Would you want them for your child's birthday? Would you be interested in Cake Smash Packages that include costume, cake and photographer? Would love to hear your thoughts.
