Hi there,

We bought an Armadillo Mamas and Papas pram for our trip to South Africa last year. Our daughter started using it when she was 7 months, it drops right back so they can have a good nap and she is very happy in it. It also has a nice big canopy for shade and the snooze shade attached easily.

Her usual pram is also an UppaBaby Vista- but she swaps between these two happily. It folds away to fit in the overhead lockers and you can collapse it with one hand.

We bought a £40 stroller from Mothercare ; this way, even if it gets crashed in the airplane, we won't really care too much. It's something like this: https://www.mothercare.com/buggies-and- ... r_stroller

It's advertised as suitable from birth but I wouldn't really know because our little one was about 15 months when we bought it.

The Pockit fold really small but are pricier, so it depends if you want cheap or compact

I will be perhaps controversial but at that age you can simply get any lightweight stroller. Although the recommendation is for babies to sleep lying flat until 6 months of age, it won’t be a problem if your child naps in one that doesn’t fully recline for a few days on holiday, especially as they are nearly 5 months old.

A lot of people really like babyzen yo-yo buggies because they fold really small so you can put them in overhead lockers, but there are now cheaper alternatives as competitors have caught on. Google “babyzen yo-yo alternatives”. Also, for a sturdy and reliable option, many people have a lightweight Maclaren, they are relatively cheap and there are plenty second-hand ones. You can check the relative weight and features of different models. They don’t fold into overhead locker size so need to be checked in.

Hello!
My son will be 5 month old when we go on holiday and I'm not sure about taking our uppababy vista in case it gets destroyed in the hold etc etc. Can anyone recommend a lightweight folding buggy that isn't ££ that might be suitable for a child his age and also allow sleeping. Thanks so much!
