Without seeing it, sounds likely there is a ‘hub’ somewhere in the house where all these wires meet.. this is where you’d put all the AV equipment and they feed off into every room (hopefully well labelled!)
..have you tried contacting the original owner (via the estate agent).. pretty standard practice and I’m sure they’d be happy to help.
