Happens every week. Google it. RAF have to respond quickly and their jets go supersonic to meet the Russians infringing on our airspace and testing reaction times.

It was a sonic boom from a fighter jet “scrambled” to ward of a Russian bear bomber.

I work for a defence organisation and we track such sightings.

Did anyone else hear loud bang that shook house yesterday (7th Jan) in the middle of the night? Near Northcote road

What caused it? We were so alarmed!
