I rent my place in Sardinia. Its direct and very easy from stansted and from May onwards it is super sunny. You are near the beach, surrounded by great restaurants, its the side of sardinia that is still ' untouched' so very affordable.

My husband and I go there all the time for a break !

I stayed in RIad Kaiss some years ago. Very nice indeed.

Riad Kaiss in Marrakech. We had three nights there last year and it was heavenly!

The Conrad in the Algarve is superb for relaxation and pampering. The restaurant and facilities are superb and you really don't need to leave the resort (it's also only 20 mins from the airport). The rooms are seriously gorgeous and very relaxing- ideal for a mini-break for 2 but can be quite pricey. Also, we went to Weeke Barton in Devon recently and had such a lovely time, the guesthouse is perfect and the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful http://www.mrandmrssmith.com/luxury-hotels/weeke-barton

Have fun!

Last year we had 4 days and we went to Florence. it was fantastic. Depending what you want really, resting in a luxury hotel in the sun, or if you like art, culture and gastronomy (and wine!), Florence is a good option.

Keep these tips coming. I was about to post an identical thread for my and DW's significant birthday's this year. Same criteria. SIncere apologies for jumping on board this thread but it seems silly to start two. :D

Son brull in pollenca Mallorca. Just stunning. Great climate as well so should be nice weather all year round. Only 2.5hr flight

We had 3 nights last year w/out kids. We went to Sa Tuna outside Barcelona. Flew out of gatwik so could get the train. Hired a car & it was about an hours drive. Absolutely beautiful there and felt like such a treat hearing the ocean as we went to sleep so felt worth the travel & weather & food were great.

Or Eurostar to Paris? Bruge?

Enjoy!

Look at Cowley Manor. Very nice, just outside Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

3 nights away w/out kids? UK or away?

Hey there,

Thinking of trying to get 3 nights away, just the two of us. Sometime in the next year.

I have no idea where or when and am completely flexible. Any tips?

Would like a bit of luxury but would like to spend time enjoying that luxury rather than travelling to it, but equally would like to feel 'away'!

Many thanks
