The clinic Balance Performance physiotherapy (113 Gauden Road, near Clapham North) now also offers paediatric osteopathy. Their French osteopath Pierre Meslet specialises in the treatment of babies suffering from latching difficulties and congenital torticolis.

Try http://occ.uk.com The Osteopathic Centre for Children is a registered charity and they run a clinic in Wandsworth 3 days a week.
Although they ask families to make a payment towards the cost of treatments, they reserve a limited number of appointments each day for those in financial difficulties.

I used Adam Beaumont at Neal's Yard also (initially for my back, then for my colicky baby). He was lovely, and very helpful. Not least because he reached a point where he felt he wasn't adding any value, and was very honest about that - then put me in touch with a very specialised allergy consultant friend of his who then 'completed the jigsaw' for us - as allergies were at root of our troubles. I really appreicated Adam's help in the beginning, then his honesty and skill when he felt something more was going on.

Also used Physio for All on Webbs Rd, we referred to Eglantine as the 'magic lady' for quite some time as she worked wonders!

Adam Beaumont specialises in cranial for babies. He lives locally and has been practising for many years. I've been to him for treatment for my own back problems in the past. His speciality is cranial and soft tissue work. He also uses acupuncture where appropriate. He works out of thurleigh road gp practise and Neal's yard in Northcote road.

Update from my previous posts on this thread. John Carr & Maria Sonberg of have now moved to live and work in Norway, but Elizabetht Kane (an osteo who was one of the therapists in John & Maria's practice) bought the business (Clapham Ostepathic Practice) a few months ago and she and Abby continue to work with me, my husband and my clients with their babies.

She has an excellent new paediatric osteopath who specialises in working with babies. Ask for Kerry Anderson.

Do remember that an osteopath cannot magically "fix" an unsettled baby or a crying baby. They will identify if /where there are underlying problems, help to release any residual tensions resulting from pregnancy/birth/C-sections/forceps delivery and they work on those.

If, like a previous poster on this thread, there may be other factors such as babies being over-tired, lacking any daily feed/sleep structure, hungry etc, then perhaps having a session with me as well as a couple of treatments with one of the lovely osteopaths at C.O.P. will help bring about positive changes.

I highly recommend Laura Tilson, http://ltosteo.co.uk/. She has many years' experience treating babies and young children, and works with them with evident skillfulness. Laura additionally has a wonderfully gentle and reassuring bedside manner which is as great for parents as it is for the little ones!

Hi there we took our baby to http://occ.uk.com/
they are a charity and offer sessions at reduced rate £35 - which is amazing!
We had 4 sessions as our little baby girl was lactose intolerant severe slient reflux and they were such a support and results almost after 2 sessions, they also picked up on her only being able to turn her head in one direction, which we'd never picked up on! and they corrected it within 4 sessions and some home exercises too

I would strongly recommend Laura Tilson, based at a clinic on Northcote Road.

I took my 8 month old boy to Laura after months of difficulty sleeping and bedtime battles where he would scream and cry, sometimes for hours, before finally giving in to sleep. After one treatment with Laura my baby now settles to sleep quickly with no crying at all- a huge difference and a much happier baby.

After trying every sleep training programme/technique etc it was a huge relief to find something that has actually worked. Laura is extremely professional and so natural and gentle with the babies- I can't recommend her highly enough!!
