Hi
I've reproduced an email we've just been sent here at NappyValleyNet...
Subject: Please be aware - Attack on Bramfield Road last night
Dear All
Forgive the alarming nature of this mail but I just had a call from a mum at school telling me that last night at 6.30 she was attacked outside her house on Bramfield Road.
She is ok but was badly beaten and wanted to let everyone know so as you can all be extra vigilant.
XXX was with her boys and wearing a visibility jacket when she noticed a small car parked at an angle across the street. Next thing she was attacked by 2 men, one strangling her and the other kicking her. She dropped to the ground pretending to have passed out but they still carried on and then went for her rings and she managed to hit out at one of them.
They got away but not before her husband had run after them and they almost ran him down in their car.
As some of you may have heard, there was an attack on Thurleigh a few weeks ago and the police say there is a spate of these incidents in the area.
XXX was concerned not to scare any of you but I for one am a little blase about walking in the dark around here thinking it's a 'safe neighbourhood'.
Please all be extra careful and pass on to other parents/nannies. There are some disgusting animals out there who think nothing of attacking a mum in the street, pushing a buggy with her children.
Thanks
XXXXX
