Perhaps, but can your bicycle wheels cook a 3 course meal in 30 mins ;)

You should go to a demo and see for yourself. The way I justified it was that if it helped me to cut down on one take away/ meal out a week then it's more than paid for itself within a year. As a family we're eating much healthier because of it too as it's so easy to make nutritious foods (and unfortunately not so nutritious cookies & cakes!) but even with the cookies, at least I can now make them very easily without all the preservatives & crap that the bought ones have.

Yup
Magi mix me too. Mum got good deal recently on a limited edition one for John Lewis v good price so agree keep eye out for offers. Only downside is not dishwasher proof but that may well go for all food processors?
Hmmm thermomix sounds dangerously interesting. I think I must avoid...
Price approx anyone? Then I can be fully put off....

Definitely a magimix - robust, long lasting. Look out for offers that pop up. I bought mine a year ago from house of fraser and it included a lot of free attachments.

Hi All,

If you are interested in seeing the Thermomix in action, please give me a call as I am your local Thermomix Demonstrator.

My name is Jenn and I am first and foremost a Thermomix owner. I become a demonstrator only after being an owner for some time as I wanted to share with others how much it had changed my life and the way I feed my family and with the hope that it could do the same for others - which it has. I now have many clients in the area who are incredibly happy with the change it's made to their lives.

I sound all evangelical about it (as most who have one do) but it's really because it's such an amazing piece of equipment. You've got to see it to believe it!!!

A demonstration is a relaxed and fun morning/afternoon or evening in the comfort of your own home in which I will show and cook 4 different recipes over a 2 hour period using the Thermomix which you and your guests can then enjoy at the end of the demonstration. The best thing is there is no pressure from me for you or your guests to buy, its just a "come along and see what its about event", as its totally up to you/them if they go for it.

If you have 3 guests to your demonstration that are new to Thermomix and from 3 different address's, then you can choose from a selection of free gifts. I like to have a few people at a demonstration to continue sharing the 'Thermie Love' around.

Here are some websites that are worth a look to get an idea of the types of things you can cook in the Thermomix and also a few reviews but essentially if you google 'Thermomix', you will have loads of references for you to research.

@ Julian, it makes cooking easier so if (like me) you are a lazy/time poor cook then it makes you more adventurous. It also does a lot of things all in one so you don't need so many different appliances. They only sell them through demos though, which is good and bad but at least you get to see them in action first. They have become very popular in australia and most european countries (apart from uk). Also used by a lot of famous chefs as you can set exact temperatures etc so good for more advanced cooking/sauces. Google it & you'll get more info.

Thermomix is the ultimate gadget! Very expensive but worth it if you use it.
Very pleased with mine and has completely changed the way I cook.

Which food processor to buy?

by sw11ite » Thu Aug 14, 2014 2:20 pm

Hopefully I will soon have a new kitchen and consequently an excuse to buy some new kitchen gadgetry.

I love cooking and want to get a decent and robust food processor. Any other budding cooks out there who could steer me in the right direction? I already have a beautiful KitchenAid (but it’s broken so if anyone has any tips on where I could get it fixed…).

Many thanks in advance
