We have patched my son since he was 20 months old. 4 years later he is doing very well and we are down to 2 hours a week 'maintenance' patching. At one point he was being patched for 6 hours a day! It is worth it and getting into a good routine made it quite easy from early on. I've had vision therapy until I was 10 years old (I think) to correct a lazy eye. I had annual checks and a few sessions each year.It's fine now as I correct my lazy eye automatically and didn't need surgery thanks to all these sessions. I think it's best if this is caught and "treated" early on. Feel free to pm if you want more details.

My son has recently been diagnosed with a lazy eye.

He has been prescribed glasses to wear all the time and patching the good eye daily. We are to try and reach a target of 3 hours per day.

It's actually been going pretty well so far but wondered if anyone had any helpful experience to share particularly vis a vis 'Vision therapy'.
