Hi,
I have been in the business for over 15 years as a model and an agent. I have never looked after children, although i'm sure it wouldn't be too much different.
We always advice, potential models to look at agencies that are recommended by the AMA ( Association Of Model Agencies)
www.associationofmodelagents.org.
Elisabeth Smith i know is a member. The website is very informative, and gives a good insight to what and what not to look out for. Unfortunately the business is full of rogue people so do look out, anyone that asks for up front fees i wouldn't go near. If an agency is interested in representing the child then they should pay for all costs which would then be deducted from the child's jobs.
Good luck
