tie a piece of string to one end of the cable and pull it through from the other. replace cable and pull it back and there you go. it's how I access my under floor board cables.

HI
Yes I would be happy to do the work for you, please call me to discuss. I may be able to fit you in this Friday, if this suits you?

Yes, the telly is built in to the wall and the cable comes out of the bottom of the wall hence not easy to replace the whole cable. If we want to replace it is that the sort of work you can do including redecoration?!

HI Emily,
I guess from your question that the scart lead is fixed into the wall, otherwise you would just replace the lead.
I know it is possible to make your own scart leads as long as you have a soldering iron (the connections must be of good quality or you will experience sound and picture problems) although I have never done it myself.
To be honest I think the easy solution is a new lead, but not always the cheapest, when it has to go through a wall.

Any suggestions - don't really want to pay a huge call out fee for what should be a fairly straightforward soldering job.
