I guess from your question that the scart lead is fixed into the wall, otherwise you would just replace the lead.
I know it is possible to make your own scart leads as long as you have a soldering iron (the connections must be of good quality or you will experience sound and picture problems) although I have never done it myself.
To be honest I think the easy solution is a new lead, but not always the cheapest, when it has to go through a wall.
