For pizza it has to be figli del vesuvio at the bottom of garratt lane. Genuine Italian pizzeria and brilliant value. For Japanese/sushi I would say oki sushi in Wimbledon is worth the trip (or the wait for delivery). For traditional Fish and chips the seahorse fish bar on garratt lane is phenomenal and super friendly too!

One question though, has anyone found a Chinese which does proper barbecue meat like you get in China town? I am thinking crispy belly pork and Cantonese roast duck (not the pancake style meal) but have not found anywhere that does it locally. Any suggestions?

Another vote for Indian Moment here for Indian. If it's pizzas we're after we usually go with Basilico as they seem to deliver faster than most however our most regular takeaway is a slightly healthier option of grilled shish kebabs from Ali Baba on Trinity Road near Tooting Bec station - they're always freshly made with good ingredients and delicious!

We love Rossopomodoro for pizza, and China Boulevard for Chinese food! The Chinese one is really delicious and prices are absolutely fair. They are located within Riverside West development at Wandsworth town, but deliver to the area

I can't believe no one has mentioned clapham tandoori yet! Amazing Indian food. Every dish I've had is great with some really different sides and starters I've not had elsewhere. Try the chicken Momo starter! Yummy!

Their Wednesday 'banquet night' is great, about £12 gets you a starter, side, main and a naan or rice, delivered.

Oh and another plus point for Earlsfield (I know that's a different thread ;) ) is they deliver here too!! :D

Wife and I were avid Holy Cow fans, and now prefer Rajah Rowing Team on Balham High Road

Cardamom Club Indian take away/delivery in Tooting Bec:

They also deliver to the Delhi Durbar bar next door!

I do want to try Holy Cow as well now.

I use Deliveroo for take outs. Then you can get anything you want :)

It's got to be Holy Cow for us and now I'm starving thinking about it. Is 8am too early to order?!

Indian Express on Garratt Lane for great value set meal curry
Left field but Ambience in Wimbledon is great for Turkish. Huge portions and it feels fresher and healthier than your average take out. Free baklava too. Chez Vous and Meza in tooting are similar and also good.
My other regulars are Amaranth in Earlsfield - not stellar but cheap and Sea Horse also in Earlsfield for fish and chips.
Never found a really good Chinese so all suggestions of places which use no MSG welcome.
Now thinking I get take outs a little too often...!

Oooh thank you. I've eaten in at Lagu but didn't know they deliver! That's great news. I'll try the other one too thanks. You're right. It may have to be tonight. I'm salivating...

Moop, for sushi my favourites are Maki sushi and Lagu cafe. Both are on lavender hill and have really really nice sushi. Yum, might require some tonight after talking about it!

I really love Indian Moment, though similarly you often have to get the order in before 7pm unless you want a wait. I haven't tried Holy Cow so will def give that a go next time we order take away.

Feng sushi also deliver locally from the Fulham road branch and have 20% off on Wednesdays! I'd welcome any other good sushi delivery recommendations.
