I have to advise against this one, as not only are they toxic (fatally so) for the cats but they are also toxic to humans, particularly littlies.

Used coffee, get it from a cafe. works a treat and smells nice too!

How do you know it's cats and not foxes?

I heard an old wives tale about putting a few clumps of hair in the garden where the cats like to do their evil business! (eg. from when you/children have your hair cut). It sounds revolting but I can say it really works -I tried it and the moggies definitely didnt like it and havent been back!
The only thing I would suggest is that you remove it after a couple of weeks as it doesnt seem to degrade very quickly and looks a bit sinister if you come across it unexpectedly!

I knew a girl who got some lion poo from a zoo!! A zoo in the midlands were selling it dried, no smell, in the form of a garden sculpture (I kid you not) - as it rains the sculpture melts into the ground. Big cats are a huge deterrent to lesser, domestic ones!
Years later I moved to my house where everyone but us has a cat but despite searching everywhere on the net I haven't been able to find lion poo available BUT somebody did tell me that an online company called crocus sell pellets which are on the same theme.

We don't own a cat, but ALL of our neighbors do and so our backyard is used as a giant litter box! Every week I scoop out 10-12 piles of feces. It is disgusting! I have tried orange peels as I read that they don't like the smell. We also bought one of those sonic boom sound contraptions that are supposed to emit a highpitched noise that only cats, dogs and foxes can hear, but that doesn't seem to be working either. I would get a cat of our own, but my husband is allergic. Does anyone have any suggestions? The weather is beginning to warm up and I would really like to be able to enjoy our yard without fear of my daughter accidentally touching feces.
