This week's catch was some whopping plaice, beautiful pink gurnard and delicate skate. Kids love checking out and choosing the fish. If you collect your kids from a school near any of our three collection points, our collection window coincides with the school run. Try us out and get the freshest fish in London, sustainably caught on our closest coast.

Just want to add a very big thank you to all our new members in Southfields. I have to say all the residents of the Grid were so welcoming and friendly, I was quite taken aback! All the local businesses on Replingham road have also been incredibly supportive too, and I hope a few of you have spotted our posters in the windows!
Last week we had beautifully fresh grey mullet, mackerel and the little known scad (or horse mackerel). Scad, like a number of species, is more appreciated in the Mediterranean and Asia than in the UK, but it’s delicious and sustainable , so it was good to see Antonio Carluccio cooking with this fish on Saturday Kitchen and we should eat more of it.
We look forward to welcoming more NVNers to our membership, so do try us out and help promote an ethical, sustainable, local business. Thanks again...

I'll declare my interest here as Guy's partner and the arm in this photo! We eat a great deal more fish since starting this venture and it's nice to know its exact provenance when feeding it to our girls. Once you get used to it, the minimal prep that the fish requires is well worth it for the amazing freshness and taste and it really is a different class to supermarket fish, which we now won't touch. You could say I'm a convert! If you're a lover of great, local food, it's well worth trying this out...

Afternoon all, just a quick reminder that you can get the freshest fish in London by signing up for Faircatch and there are now 3 collection hubs from which to collect your fish on a Friday afternoon. Barmouth Kitchen SW18 2DN, The Draft House on Northcote road SW11 6QW and Cakes by Robin, Southfields SW18 5LR. Our fish is landed on Friday morning and whizzed straight up the A3, so it's a matter of hours out of the water. We only source from small boats that fish sustainably, we reduce food miles by providing locally-caught species and we are absolutely 100% zero waste. Please support our ethical, local, family micro-business as well as the small-scale local fishers who supply us. Thanks to all our new members who have recently signed up, we look forward to meeting you on Friday. We'd be super grateful for any re-tweets https://twitter.com/guydorrell1 or shares of our facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Faircatc ... 6658791516
Any questions, please comment or give me a call 07810 753 815.
Best wishes, Guy
