Thankyou so much for all your replies. I have now found someone and am sorry for not posting this before now. Hopefully others will request such help for their kids birthday parties on this site as it works. Such a good idea to ask for au pair/student help, can't think why I didn't think of it before now!

Hi there,

I'm a local mum and make-up artist.

I'm happy to help out. I also love educating young girls on make-up so if relevant could have a little talk to them about it.

I personally am not in favour of young girls wearing makeup but I do think it's important to arm them with the basics so they make sensible choices a couple of years on.

I'm happy for you to pm me if you're interested. I also love painting nails... bit of a personal obsession ;)

warm rgds

Hi, am just wondering if there are any au pairs reading this (or families with someone) who might be willing to help out with a birthday party next Friday evening (9th Oct) Fifteen 12 year old girls (gulp) to do nail painting or/and hair plaiting. From 7.00 pm until 8.30 pm near Balham Tube station. I will pay whatever they/you want!!!
