Good evening,

I thought I would let others know, as we're in the lead up to 11+ madness, that our school consultant has an online shop selling papers that really are in line with the entrance exams.

Been helpful so far! Our ten year old wouldn't say the same though.

SW6/Yellowbird

Thanks for the message. We're very happy with IW Schooling's services but if that changes we may give your firm a call.

Jack.

I know this is a little late, but I can highly recommend Janie Richardson at Yellowbird Education. www.yellowbirdeducation.com

Good afternoon,

Thought I would update the thread as the kids now have school places sorted for January.

I first got in touch with and ended up using the services of IW Schooling Consultants. The process was made so easy for us; having an independent source concentrating solely on what's suitable for the kids and us as a family too.

Would highly recommend Isobel/IW Schooling; her personal approach and own teaching experience was very evident and help put my wife at ease when liaising from Cyprus!

Thanks
Jack

All,

Thank you very much for the responses; and for going out of your way for referrals!

Based on the above, my wife and I will first get in touch with IW Schooling Consultants. They look like they specialize in school placement (with similar circumstances), with tutoring services should we need them.

Thanks again and will update!

Jack

Hello,

Further to my above comment, I've just been over the road and the company they used is called I W Schooling Consultants. Very happy with them and said they took a real weight off their shoulders. Guess it worked as I've seen the kids in their school uniforms!

Hope that helps!
Cheers

The family who took the rental opposite us a couple of months ago were in a similar situation (he's Norwegian) and they had a good experience with whoever they used. I'll pop over tonight and ask whoever's in and update.

Back to London: schooling

by JackFul » Tue Oct 27, 2015 9:37 am

Good morning,

Not sure about the etiquette of adding to an existing thread so I've started afresh.

I've arrived back in SW London after a stint in Cyprus. My wife and two kids will be following me within six weeks and I would like to get them both into an independent school as quickly as possible. I realise this is a big ask mid-year so I would like to employ the services of a schools consultancy or placement company who knows more than we do on the subject.

Are there any recommendations based on recent own experiences with such firms? Hopefully I can get some ground work done!

Thanks
Jack
