I actually think chronic fatigue is a very lazy diagnosis when conventional Medecine had failed to come up with Any answers so throws the condition into a "catch all" phrase which isn't very useful.
It's worth looking at triggers and symtoms. Often chronic poor health is caused by HPA axis dysfunction (Google), underlying chronic viral issues, emotional issues, gut issues or lifestyle.
I really recommend looking into functional MEDECINE practitioners who will take a deeper dive into what is going on and treat (I can recommend) and Eastern medecine. It's not going to be a linear recovery and I really don't think there is a magic bullet but in many ways the mind leads the body so you have to keep the mind in the game. Anyway, being diagnosed with "chronic fatigue" is not a useful psychological label to live with. Hopefully she can see it as "interim fatigue" and know that there is a way out. It's not like a cold so it won't be better tomorrow and it's frustrating as hell but I really advise going beyond the nhs/conventional routes. Please feel free to PM me if helpful x
