Rowena, of AgentEngagement, offers an amazing service especially for anyone (most people!) who don't know where to begin!

She's amazing at negotiating deals with designers and diamond dealers, so it works out as not only a cost-saving but also spares you time and hassle! Anyone I've sent her way in the past has been thrilled!

Just say Natasha Clark recommended, and I'm sure she'll try and give you a special deal ; )

Very informative thread! Can anybody tell me if the answers here are up to date? Would you suggest any other shops?

Just to update this thread, we ordered the ring today!

We did a LOT of research and I now know a lot more about diamonds and all things ring making! We ended up going with Hatton Jewels as we were really impressed with the service and also they found us a really lovely diamond. https://www.hattonjewels.com/. We should have the ring in a few weeks time :D

Other people we were really really impressed with were:
Ruth at Heirloom http://www.heirloom.london/

Sophie Breitmeyer

Brighton
Alex at Bespoke Diamonds https://bespokediamonds.com/about-us

I am also able to do repairs, please get in touch.

Probably a little late to the party here but thought I'd post just incase you haven't found anything.
I started Annellino Fine Jewellery after meeting a third generation Master Goldsmith near my maternal town in Italy. I work with clients to bespoke my existing collections or create a truly bespoke piece which is handmade in an 150 year old workshop South of Rome. Please have a look at my website http://www.annellino.com or my Instagram which has more of a live feed of pieces I'm working on: https://www.instagram.com/annellinofinejewellery/

In any case I wish you the best in creating your ring- its such a wonderful experience and special piece. Gabriella

Look at lots of places and work out what style you like.

Hatton garden is good for research as there are so many jewellers.

If you want something a bit less standard/traditional try dinner like Spectrum on south molton street, they have gorgeous art piece jewelry (that's where I got mine).

Or if you want to go to a jeweller and buy from a real crafts-person try local studio groups such as:

401 1/2 studios on Wandsworth Road
http://401studios.org
(I'm a sculptor and I used to have a studio there, there are some amazing jewellers, Gerlind, Heather, Andrew...)

Or
Cockpit Arts

Congrats and enjoy

Another vote for W&W on Webbs Road, they made both our engagement and wedding rings. I couldn't find any designs I liked in the shops so they made exactly the ring I wanted and love it! :) Friendly service dont feel like you're being ripped off.
