I’m a big fan of the Luxury Family Hotel group. Woolley Grange is on the edge of the Cotswolds with Bath and Longleat nearby. They have a crèche and Baby listening at dinner so you can have a lovely adult dinner! I’ve heard good things about the Ickworth too but haven’t been. The best thing at these hotels is that kids come first so you don’t need to fit around other guests, eg swimming at set times.

If you want something a bit more like Center Parcs try Forest Holidays.

Hello HappyWalrus, we still have availability within the Luxury Family Hotels group during half term. Have a look at our website and give the central reservations line a ring on 0844 4822 152 (open 9-7 Monday to Friday). I look forward to hearing from you, Helen. https://www.luxuryfamilyhotels.co.uk/

That is so kind to point to my blog MillyMoo.

The address is http://fromthepoolside.com and you can search by country and budget.

A reader had gone to the Fish in the Cotswolds following an article on the blog and posted a review. It might be a good one?

you can also to their more luxurious sister hotel Dormy House

The one hotel that is not on the blog and might be good for you is Calcot Manor. It's 2h from London, has indoor pool, a creche, etc.. We found it a bit too noisy and being like in a nursery for a weekend but many families really like it.

Check out Stephanie's from the poolside blog. Lots of child friendly inspiration!

Please help with planning last-Minute half-term break.
Was supposed to be doing Centre Parcs, now can’t for various reasons. (Incompetence, mostly.)
So need ideally: family-friendly hotel or whatever; not madly far from London where we can entertain/contain 4yo and 2yo and maybe just maybe get a few minutes to be ourselves and act like adults with lives not 24/7 child-wranglers.
Probably asking too much of the world but if anyone had any suggestions would be awfully grateful.
Xxx
