Do you have any advice for someone that didn't get any of their choices. The school my daughter has been offered is administered by Southwark Diocese who also administer the primary school my daughter attended and was sexually assaulted at age 6 by 6 of her male class mates in a 6 month campaign of sex based harrassment. The school and Diocese called the behaviour 'rough play'. I took her out of the school for safety reasons and I don't feel safe putting her in their care again.

I went on a tour of EB last year and really liked it - it was light and bright and the boys that showed me around were both friendly and engaging. My son really wanted a co-ed school so it wasn't the right choice for us, but I'd strongly recommend going to have a look. As I have said on other threads, we are spoilt for choice in Wandsworth!

On a personal note, we are waiting for a place at our local feeder school and frustratingly the wait lists don't seem to have moved at all in the last week. I know lots of parents are taking independent offers so this doesn't seem to reflect the reality?

Please, if you are a parent reading this with a child headed to one the local independents, don't forget to surrender your state offer! :-)

Delighted to hear you are pleased with Ernest Bevin windmill26.
If any parents have been offered Ernest Bevin for their son to start in Year 7 this September 2018 and would like to come and have a look around the school, we will be organising tours on
Wednesday 7th March
Tuesday 13th March
Wednesday 14th March
All at 9am in the morning.
Places must be booked in advance so we have enough guides to take you around as this is not a scheduled open morning. Induction events for those who have already visited Ernest Bevin and are happy to accept their place, will take place in June & July and further information will be sent about these dates after you have accepted your son's offer.
Please do come along if you have questions about what the college has to offer for your son in advance of the deadline for accepting a place.
Please contact Fiona Wilkins via email/phone to book a place

I can't believe that a year has gone by since we got our secondary school offer! For us it has worked out great! We got our 4th choice, our child love the school and he is doing very well. Both my husband and I are very pleased with the school and there is no way we would move our child .So ,things work out for the best sometimes!
