Good morning ladies! I am in the process of addressing this very issue for many parents (mums and dads alike!) I am mum to two girls so am forever creating different hairstyles. I have braided friends and their daughters hair and even groups of girls before school discos/ events! I would love to be able to share my skills with more parents so they’re able to do the same. I can also show you how to manage different textures and hair types. I’m happy to meet with a group of you at home and I will also be setting up an event too so watch this space! Get in touch I’d love to hear from you.

Hi Mary-in-Earlsfield and calliwally, I'm a nanny of nearly ten years who has been styling little girls' hair my entire career. I am quite fondly remembered among my charges for my braiding skills, even the teenage ones (we went through The Braid Book together!). I'd be happy to come and teach a small, informal class if you're interested - feel free to send me a PM.

That's a lovely idea! I totally agree! I can't believe there isn't more of a demand for this kind of thing.

Mary-in-Earlsfield, I'd also be really interested in finding someone to teach a class on french plaits etc. Does anyone know a hairdresser that would be willing to teach a class for an hour or so? I would happily host it at my house (if there weren't too many, of course! ha!) There must be more than two of us that aren't confident at girl's hair-styles? Maybe some dad's who also have to do their kid's hair on occasion and would like a class?

Have you tried YouTube? There are some really help tutorials on there whether you are doing your little one's hair or they are learning themselves! I have popped a few examples below :)

They look slightly complicated at first glance, but the videos do a fab job in breaking the steps down - Hope this is somewhat helpful!

Are there any classes or tutelage available to help style young girl's hair? I'm hopeless with my daughter and would love some help learning the basics.
