HI,
I am a nanny who would be happy to do ad-hoc childcare.
My charge will be starting nursery school in September from the hours of 9-3.15 four days a week.
I am wondering what I will do with my time. I will have lots of spare time for any mums who may need an extra pair of hands. My boss is more than happy for me to find additional work. However in the event my charge is unwell, and can't attend school, I would obviously have to care for her.

If I can be of help to anyone during term-times. Please shout. I have 10 years experience and I am trained. I am also ofsted registered.

I'd also be available to stock up freezers with weaning foods or prepare kiddies meals.

Nanny with children?

I'm wondering if there are any nannies out there who have had a child and might be interested in ad hoc additional child care? I've had some great suggestions for short notice child care but they can be quite expensive?

I am in a similar predicament and I ended up contacting the Family Information Service who were really helpful. Basically, my only affordable solution was to find a childminder who would do ad hoc childcare and to do that I just had to call around. Most councils will have a complete list of childminders on their FIS sites. Good Luck!

Have you tried Third Door in Wandsworth? www.third-door.com
Offer great flexibility and could be exactly what you need.

You could try Likeminders - they're an emergency/ad hoc/babysitting agency in SW11. I and lots of my nanny friends are registered with them and we have all found them to be excellent, and very professional. Alternatively you could try finding someone on your own who is just looking forvad hoc work, for example a nanny with their own child(ren)? Best of luck either way!

Short notice child care solutions?

Hi there, we have a one year old and I'm thinking that it's time to do some work (boo!). The problem is that the best option for me is locum work which means I need a couple of days cover here and there, up to a couple of weeks, often at short notice. I'm thinking the best solution would be to see if anyone has a nanny they'd like to share very occasionally? Or perhaps a child minder that has a number of children on a regular basis but will have room for an extra small one every now and then? Any ideas? Thanks :)
