My wife liked Kingston, in fact it`s not far from our home but that`s not the only advantage, the place`s really reliable, they`ll do everything well, believe me!

I never had to wait too long for my appointments and the Drs and midwives were really easy to deal with. They were always happy to see me in triage if I had any worries, and I even I managed to have the water birth I wanted (despite being “high risk”). I had to stay in one night but had a private room which was a million miles away from the ward experience I had with my daughter at West Mid.

Thats really nice to hear JM. I could high risk being overweight I guess, but only at 3 mths now so dont know yet. I would love a water birth or deliver in the midwive-led unit, so good to know.

Hello, my second was born Kingston and I could not fault it. It's small and has a cosier feel than the larger hospitals.
My first born was born at St Marys, Paddington , amazing staff during the labour but the aftercare was horrendous with some pretty horrible temporary staff and breast feeding Nazi midwives and being in an overcrowed ward after she was born. She was born during the August bank holiday though and had to be induced, whearas I had a straight forward birth with my son who was born at Kingston and left after a few hours but I had a private room after he was born..

it really depends on so many factors, I'm afraid. I would go with the one which offers the easiest antenatal appointments. But you may be offered a private room at Kingston unless they are very busy after the birth.

My experience with St George's (not labour) has always been very positive.

best wishes

I can choose either St Georges or Kingston to give birth,

would love to get your views on those for recent births (2013 and after)

Thanks!
