I used Gentleman & a Van based on the recommendation here and I have to agree - they were brilliant.

I paid for them to do packing and they were still a better price than some of the other ones. The removal men were very polite and helpful - nothing was too much problem for them. I would definitely recommend them.

All I will say is do not use Go Removal!
They are local and the manager Andrew is a very nice man and very polite but he underestimated our need so we ended with a small truck and had to do 2 trips. Without my husband help it would have taken 2 days to move!!!
My daughters were at nursery, I collected them about 30 min later than their usual time and had agreed with my husband to meet at the new house for their usual evening routine... well, turns out that my husband was stuck at the old place so couldnt be there for their first evening... I thank them both for having been so easy and adaptable because I was really cross that they couldnt have had both of their parents for such an important thing happening in their lives.
They broke a couple of things in the move which he paid with no discussion, they pack (in a very unprofessional ways I have taken the pictures) and unpack which is very good but all was finished after midnight...
So all in all in ended up OK but the process was a major stress!

We used Bushells - family firm based in Earlsfield. They were great and also do storage.

We used Burke and Wills who were really good. They're based in Wimbledon I think.

We used Clapham Removals who were FANTASTIC!! I was very pregnant and they did everything. Everything was packed up and labelled. At the other end they put all the boxes in the right rooms. There were no breakages at all which I was amazed by. The guys are all young and really hard working. Hi can anyone recommend a good removal company for a move in SW11?

Preferably one that will pack and unpack for us, and that you have direct experience of using.
