Thanks for your responses. Much appreciated. We were thinking £7. No taxi likely to be needed as planning on babysitting in roads close to ours.

I use various babysitters including teenagers, au pairs, nannies etc. I pay school aged teens £8 per hour and round up to the nearest hour. I pay university students, nannies and au pairs etc £10 per hour.

The National Minimum wage for an under 18 yr old is £4.35 so I would suggest £5 per hour plus a taxi home.
I'm assuming she won't have a fist aid certificate, a DBS nor public liability insurance, which is what a nanny would have to look after children day or night. As professionals, they can charge £10 to 15 per hour.
Once your daughter has some experience (and any qualifications) she may be able to charge a little more.

Teen Babysitting rates

My 16 year old is looking to start babysitting. What is the going rate for someone to babysit roughly 3 or 4 hours on a Frid or Sat evening. Keeps getting asked for their rate.

Thanks
