by Pippa's Poppets » Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:44 pm

Hi. My name is Pippa and I run Pippa's Poppets Music & Movement Classes for babies & children from 4 months - 4 years. I would like to invite you and your child to a FREE music class on Monday 12th September at the Common Ground Café on Wandsworth Common. I use my own original songs as well as nursery rhyme covers, home-made props & instruments (sticks, shakers, bells, drums, bubbles, scarves & stickers), action & story songs and weekly themes. Please see my website http://www.pippaspoppets.co.uk to hear some songs!

Class times are: 9.45am Babies 4-15 months, 10.30am Toddlers 15 months - 2½ yrs and 11.15am Small children 2½ - 4 yrs. This is a new venue and it would be great to see some new faces so do come along and lend your support. To reserve a place email info@pippaspoppets.co.uk.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes
Pippa

Hi,

My 'baby' is now nearly 2.5 years old, but we moved BTC when she was about 5 months, and I was keen to get involved in lots of classes.

Music/singing wise, personally, I much preferred Monkey Music to Tin Pan Annie. We tried both. Louise, who runs MM is lovely, and the classes held my daughters attention much better. We continued with Monkey Music until January of this year when we could no longer attend because of nursery, now, Louise is putting on a Saturday class, and we hope to attend that, because my daughter loves it SO much!

We also did baby swimming, but having previously LOVED swimming (I took her at 10 weeks) for some reason, she suddenly really took against it, so if you are considering swimming lessons, do ask if you can pay as you go at first in case your baby hates it.

Now, aged 2, she loves swimming, but I just take her to the local pool (which is Latchmere for us), I don't pay for lessons.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I didn't know about Fruity Tunes. Looks good how it is just 'drop in' without the term committment.

Not quite at ballet stage yet!?!

The ballet is from 2 years plus though!

I always took mine to Fruity Tunes from the age of 4 months. John is brilliant.

which baby class?

A question for all the mums of young ones...

Which baby classes are most suitable and value for money for 5 - 7 month year olds?? eg signing, sensory, monkey music, amanda's action, tin pan annie, mum & baby yoga etc etc

It is fabulous that there is so much going on around SW11, but we clearly don't need or want to be doing everything especially when there is so much which costs nothing (1o'clock clubs, library rhyme time etc)

Any thoughs appreciated from your experiences for this age group
thanks
